About Me
Chintia Kirana
Montgomery, Alabama, United States
I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. I'm an artist. Drawing has been my hobby ever since I received my first crayon set from my parents gave me when I was a kid. My instructor Rachel Dudley trained me in observational drawings. I think this is the most important step in learning how to draw. My professor in college, Mr. Richard Mills, once said that to be able to be a good abstract artist, you have to be a good observational artist. I try to expand my artistic studies with different mediums other than graphite and oils. I also use watercolor, ink, colored pencils, conté crayons, charcoal, pastels, and acrylics. I enjoyed doing ceramics and sculpture. My subject matter includes landscapes, still life, portraits, architecture, and pets. In my spare time, I do commissioned works for people.
